Ubuntu 10.04 Release schedule
For those who are interested, here's the release schedule of Ubuntu's upcoming release, named Lucid Lynx:
- December 10th, 2009 – Alpha 1 release
- January 14th, 2010 – Alpha 2 release
- February 25th, 2010 – Alpha 3 release
- March 18th, 2010 – Beta1 release
- April 8th, 2010 – Beta2 release
- April 22nd, 2010 - Release Candidate

I installed Lucid Lynx' daily build on my laptop yesterday. No problems so far... everything works out of the box. This is really surprising, as it's still a beta release.
And despite all negative comments, I really like the new layout. The window buttons on the top left don't annoy me one bit. In fact, they really seem logical to me this way. And no, I'm not a Mac user...

Only probem I have is when shutting down: it gets in a loop at the logout screen. I had the same problem with the previous beta release.
