Logging in just got easier

OpenID login on iezy.be

Finally! This is something I wanted to do for a long time, but never really got into it: I have made the login code more generic so that multiple login systems can be used on the site. Now it is possible to get authenticated using the normal site login, and also by using an OpenID login. This was already possible before, but now the logins are being processed by one single system.

Feel free to try it out, and let me know if you should encounter an error.

Once logged in, it is now possible to add other OpenID links to your account. Check the "member page" that will appear in the navigation menu after logging in.

I have also replaced the dead links (Live, Facebook and Technorati - I guess they'll never use a correct OpenID server) with three new famous sites:

  • Steam
  • Launchpad
  • identi.ca

I already knew that Launchpad and identi.ca were using OpenID, but was really surprised about Steam. It's nice to see that well-known sites make use of this great login system!
